Updated October 2026
Rebirth is the main long-term progression step in Steal a Brainrot. You hand in a pile of cash plus specific brainrots, and in return you get a cash multiplier, a one-time cash payout, a longer base lock and new gear. This page lists every rebirth from 1 to 19 with its cost, and marks which numbers are solid and which are not.
How rebirth works
A rebirth takes most of your cash and only the brainrots it names. Before Update 66 it wiped every brainrot in your base; now just the required ones are consumed. Brainrots still walking toward your base go back to the red carpet, and a brainrot someone is carrying off disappears if you rebirth at that moment.
Every rebirth adds 10 seconds to your base lock. Every rebirth except Rebirth 1 adds a base slot: Rebirth 2 opens the second floor and Rebirth 10 opens the third (see SAB facts for slot counts). Higher floors are harder to steal from, so keep your best brainrots up there.
Every rebirth: cost and brainrots
Cash and brainrot requirements have been rebalanced several times, so older guides often show higher prices. The table uses the current game wiki values. The last column shows whether a second, independent site agrees.

Rebirth 1 gives no extra slot. From Rebirth 5 to 16 you mostly need a single brainrot per rebirth; Rebirth 17 asked for two Secrets, then Rebirth 18 went back to one.
What you get
The multiplier starts at x0.5 on Rebirth 1 and reaches x19 on Rebirth 19. Each rebirth also pays a one-time cash bonus that grows from $5K at Rebirth 1 to $250T at Rebirth 19, and unlocks gear in the Coins Shop. Examples both sources agree on: Rebirth 2 unlocks Gold Slap, Coil Combo and Rage Table; Rebirth 3 the Diamond Slap, Grapple Hook and Taser Gun; Rebirth 4 the Emerald Slap, Invisibility Cloak and Boogie Bomb; Rebirth 14 the Gummy Bear and Subspace Mine; Rebirth 15 the Heatseeker; Rebirth 16 Attack Doge; Rebirth 17 the Giant Potion; Rebirth 18 Flash Teleport.
Rebirth 11 is the last one that gives a slap. Exact per-rebirth cash bonuses in the middle of the list differ between sources, so check the in-game panel if you plan around them.
Rebirth 19 and the Grief Shield
Rebirth 19 arrived with Update 62, along with the Grief Shield (the wiki lists it as the Grief Guard); more in our Update 62 article. It needs La Grande Combinasion, a Secret, placed in your base: one still on the conveyor does not count. It costs 30Qa according to the wiki and one guide; another site lists $300Qa, so confirm the amount in the Rebirth panel before you commit. The reward is the x19 multiplier, a $250T bonus, +10 seconds of lock, one more slot and the Grief Shield. Rebirth 18 must be done first.
How to rebirth faster
- Look at the next three or four rebirths and start collecting those brainrots early. Rarer ones are the real bottleneck, not cash.
- Check the brainrot list for income and rarity, and exist counts to see how hard a requirement is to find.
- Do not trade away a brainrot you will need soon. Compare worth in trade values first.
- Plan your income to hit the cash target with the calculator; new here? Start with how to play.
- Admin Abuse events boost some brainrot spawns, so watch the Admin Abuse timer.
