SpyderSammy (just "Sammy" to most players) is the owner, developer and public face of Steal a Brainrot. He's a verified Roblox developer working under Do Big Studios, instantly recognizable by his red avatar and the chaotic Admin Abuse events he runs in live servers.
Who is Sammy?
What makes Sammy unusual for a creator of a game this big is how hands-on he is. Rather than staying behind the scenes, he drops into public servers unannounced, hands out items, teleports people around and generally causes mayhem for the fun of it. That direct contact is a huge part of why the community feels so attached to him — he comes across less like a distant studio head and more like another player who happens to hold the admin powers.
He keeps his personal life private, and that's worth respecting. Publicly he's mentioned North African (Algerian) roots, while a strong Brazilian theme runs through his online presence — most visibly the BRAZILIAN SPYDER Roblox community he owns, which has tens of millions of members.
The red avatar and ":3"
Sammy's Roblox avatar runs on a red color scheme, with accessories that swap out depending on the event or update. The red became so iconic that players now instinctively read "red = admin is here." His other signature is the ":3" face he constantly drops in chat.
During Taco Tuesday he shows up as "Fat Sammy" — a chonky version of his avatar that appears for the event.
How Steal a Brainrot blew up
The game launched on May 16, 2025 as a tycoon-meets-simulator where you collect meme characters that generate cash — and steal them from other players' bases while defending your own. Sammy built it around the Italian "brainrot" meme wave that was dominating TikTok at the time, and the timing was perfect: clips of players raiding each other spread everywhere, and the player count went from thousands to millions in weeks.
The growth blindsided everyone, Sammy included — he's said he'd been making Roblox games since 2013 and used to celebrate hitting just 500 concurrent players. A few milestones:
- May 2025 — launch with the first brainrot roster
- June 2025 — trading and rare brainrots added
- July 2025 — peak concurrent players passes 500,000
- August 2025 — Fat Sammy / Taco Tuesday introduced
- September 2025 — merch and licensing deals announced
- October 2025 — a record 25.4 million concurrent players
Sammy's official accounts (memorize these)
His username is consistent across platforms, which makes the real ones easy to verify. These are his only official accounts:
- X (Twitter): SpyderSammy
- TikTok: @spydersammy
- Instagram: spydersammy333
- Official Steal a Brainrot Discord — he posts in the #bombardiro-news channel
Important: Sammy does not have an official YouTube channel. A fake "@SpyderSammy" channel with millions of subscribers exists — Sammy himself called it out and asked people to report it.
Steal a Brainrot's popularity attracts scammers who copy Sammy's username and avatar. Keep these rules in mind:
- Sammy never does business in DMs. Anyone messaging you "as Sammy" is fake.
- There are no "creator items" handed out through private trades. That offer is always a scam.
- Nobody legitimate will ask for your account login or Robux payment in exchange for items.
- The only reliable proof is his verified Roblox badge and the exact usernames above.
How to meet Sammy in-game
The main way to run into Sammy is during scheduled Admin Abuse events, when he joins public servers with admin powers, giveaways and the occasional sneak peek. The most consistent encounter is Taco Tuesday, when Fat Sammy spawns on the main track with Taco brainrots you can't get any other way — players camp the track waiting for it. Follow #bombardiro-news on the Discord for timing, and check our Admin Abuse timer.
The Admin Abuse "war" with Jandel
Sammy occasionally plays off other creators, the most famous being Jandel of Grow a Garden — the rival game whose community sparked a playful "Admin Abuse war" with Steal a Brainrot's. Both sides lean into it for entertainment; it's friendly competition, not real beef.
