What are traits in Steal a Brainrot?
Traits are special modifiers that can be applied to brainrots during events. They can change the look of a brainrot, increase its income, and in some cases make it more interesting for trading. Unlike mutations, traits can stack: one brainrot can carry multiple traits at the same time.
The important part is that traits have two meanings. In the income calculator, a trait is a multiplier. In the trade calculator, a trait is a value signal that depends on demand, rarity and the base brainrot. This is why the site does not simply copy trait income multipliers into trade value.
Income Formula
Income = Base × (Mutation + Σ(Trait − 1))
Example: base income $65M/s, Cyber mutation 11x, Fire trait 5x
→ $65M × (11 + (5−1)) = $65M × 15 = $975M/s Sleepy is different: it applies after the full calculation and halves the final income.
Traits for income
For income, you care about the actual multiplier. A stronger trait on a brainrot with high base income can create a big cash jump. This is where traits like Strawberry, Meowl, John Pork, Skibidi, high seasonal traits and strong Admin Abuse traits become very powerful.
Traits for trade value
For trading, the multiplier is not enough. Buyers also care about the brainrot itself, the mutation, exist count, rarity, how rare the trait is, and whether the combo is easy to trade again. The calculator uses controlled bonuses to avoid inflated values.
Traits for farming
For farming, do not waste the best trait chances on weak brainrots. Farm during events, protect high-value spawns, and use rebuying when possible so the same valuable brainrot stays available for more trait rolls.
TRAIT CATEGORIES
OG Traits
The most important traits for both income and demand. They usually matter more on OG or high-value brainrots because the community treats these combinations as premium. If an OG trait lands on a valuable base, always check the calculator before trading it away.
Seasonal Traits
Seasonal traits come from limited-time or holiday events. Their value can rise when the event is gone and fall when the event returns. This makes timing important: do not judge seasonal traits only by their income multiplier.
Ritual Traits
Ritual traits depend on specific setups or event triggers. They are useful when a group can keep the server organized. The more difficult the setup, the more attention the trait can get in trading, especially on a strong base.
Admin Abuse Traits
Admin Abuse traits are some of the most watched because players farm them during scheduled hype windows. Some are strong income boosts, while others are mostly visual or demand-based. Sleepy is the dangerous exception because it reduces final income.
Country Event Traits
Country traits are tied to themed events. They are usually easier to understand than OG traits: good multiplier, good visual identity, and event-based availability. Demand can still change depending on how often the event returns.
World Cup 2026 Traits
World Cup 2026 traits include Sun and the national team traits. They all use the same income multiplier: 6x. For trade value, treat them as event traits and check demand on the specific brainrot before accepting a trade.
Natural Traits
Natural traits can appear from normal weather or world conditions. They are useful early and can add income, but they usually do not carry the same trade hype as rare event traits unless the base brainrot is already valuable.
Best traits for trade value
The best trade traits are not always the highest income traits. A trade buyer usually asks: is the trait rare, is the brainrot valuable, is the combo recognizable, and will another player want it later?
Top demand traits
OG and iconic event traits usually get the most attention because players recognize them quickly. These traits are strongest when attached to a brainrot people already want.
Stable traits
Good income traits from repeatable events can be easier to trade, but they rarely deserve wild overpays unless the base item or mutation is also rare.
Risky traits
Sleepy and disliked cosmetic traits can hurt demand. Taco-like traits can be buyer-dependent: some players like the meme, others ignore it in value.

These are the highest-value traits sorted by income multiplier from the site database. Use this table for production, then use the trade calculator when you want to compare offers.

How to Get
How to farm traits properly
Choose the right target. Do not spend your best event window on a weak brainrot unless you are only farming for fun.
Use a controlled server. Private servers and trusted players reduce stealing, mistakes and broken rituals.
Keep valuable spawns active. Rebuying gives the same brainrot more time to receive event traits.
Separate income from trade. A trait can be good for farming but only average for trading.
Check before accepting. Strong traits on valuable brainrots should always be checked in the calculator first.

Common trait mistakes
Multiplying everything together
Traits do not multiply each other for income. They add their extra multiplier to the mutation pool.
Ignoring the base brainrot
A rare trait on a weak brainrot is usually less useful than the same trait on a strong brainrot.
Treating trade value like income
A high multiplier does not guarantee the same trade premium. Demand and rarity still decide the real offer quality.
Forgetting Sleepy
Sleepy is dangerous because it reduces the final result after the rest of the income calculation.
Steal a Brainrot Traits FAQ
What are traits in Steal a Brainrot?
Traits are modifiers that can appear on brainrots during events. They can increase income, change how the brainrot looks, and affect demand in trading. Multiple traits can stack on the same brainrot.
How do traits work for income?
Traits stack additively with mutations using the formula: Income = Base × (Mutation + Σ(Trait − 1)). Sleepy is the exception because it halves the final income after all other bonuses are calculated.
Do traits use the same value in trading?
No. The income calculator uses the trait multiplier directly, but the trade calculator uses controlled trade bonuses. This avoids overvaluing weak brainrots just because they have one high-multiplier trait.
What is the Sleepy trait?
Sleepy is a negative trait because it applies a 0.5x effect to the final income. If a brainrot has strong positive traits and Sleepy, Sleepy still cuts the final result after the other calculations.
How should I farm traits?
Farm traits during events, preferably in a controlled server. Focus on brainrots with good base value, keep valuable spawns active when possible, and check the calculator before trading rare combinations.
