The Taco trait is not bad for income. The hate is mostly a trading-market problem. Some players dislike the visual look, some follow the bandwagon, and some use Taco as a bargaining tool to lowball expensive Brainrots. There are also old rumors that Taco Brainrots were “duped”, but that is not a reliable reason to automatically destroy the value of every Taco Brainrot.
What Does the Taco Trait Do?
The Taco trait is an Admin Abuse trait connected to Taco Tuesday. When the Taco Cannon event happens, tacos fall from the sky and Brainrots hit by the Taco Cannon can receive the Taco trait. The trait adds a Taco visual on the Brainrot and increases income.
That means Taco is not a negative mechanic by itself. The problem starts when traders judge it by demand, appearance and rumors instead of only income.
Why Traders Dislike Taco
1. Some players think it looks ugly
For collectors, visual appearance matters. A Brainrot with a Taco on the head can look less “clean” than the same Brainrot with no trait or with a rarer-looking trait.
2. It became a bandwagon trend
Once a few traders start saying a trait is bad, many others repeat it. The dislike can become stronger than the actual gameplay effect.
3. It is used for lowballing
Some buyers use Taco as an excuse to offer less, even when the Brainrot still has strong income or a strong mutation.
4. Old “duped” rumors hurt demand
Some players connect Taco with old duplication rumors. Even when the rumor is not proven for a specific item, the fear can still reduce buyer confidence.
Does Taco Actually Lower Value?
Mechanically, Taco does not lower income. In trading, however, value is not only income. Value also depends on demand, buyer preference, rarity, mutation, traits, exist count and current market sentiment.
So the correct answer is:
| Situation | Suggested calculator behavior |
|---|---|
| Buyer likes Taco | Use normal value. The buyer does not penalize the trait. |
| Buyer dislikes Taco | Apply a heavy market discount. Our calculator uses a 70% trade value nerf. |
| High-value Brainrot with strong mutation | Check both normal and nerfed values before accepting. Do not auto-accept lowballs. |
| Unstable market | Use recent trades, listings and community demand before finalizing. |
How We Price Taco in the Calculator
The Steal a Brainrot Helper calculator now uses a Taco preference toggle:
- Buyer likes Taco: the Brainrot keeps normal market value.
- Buyer dislikes Taco: the Brainrot gets a 70% trade value nerf.
This is not an official game rule. It is a market model designed to show both sides of the current trading meta: the gameplay value and the social demand penalty.
Should You Trade a Taco Brainrot?
Do not reject a Taco Brainrot automatically. First check:
- the base Brainrot value,
- the mutation value,
- the final income,
- the number and quality of other traits,
- whether the buyer actually dislikes Taco,
- recent market listings and real completed trades.
If a trader says “Taco makes it worthless,” treat that as a negotiation tactic, not a final rule. Taco can reduce demand, but it does not erase the value of a rare Brainrot.

How much should Taco reduce value?
It depends on the buyer. Our calculator uses a toggle: normal value if the buyer likes Taco, or a 70% trade value nerf if the buyer dislikes Taco.
