The Summer Update went live on June 13, 2026. The headline changes: trading is now permanent (no more Trade Machine), a brand-new Phantom mutation takes the crown at 12x, the Octo Lucky Block adds eight summer brainrots, seasonal base skins become tradable, and the Index got a long-overdue rework.
1. Trading is now permanent
The biggest quality-of-life change is the removal of the dedicated Trade Machine. Trading now lives on a GUI button right next to the Codes menu, so you can open a trade from anywhere instead of running across the map to a fixed spot. Expect the Trading Plaza to resurface during Admin Abuse events too.

2. New RNG Machine
Where the old Trading Machine stood, there's now an RNG Machine. Full mechanics haven't been detailed yet, but it looks set to become another way to roll for brainrots at varying odds.
3. Four new code & fuse brainrots
Two arrive from redeem codes and two from the Summer Fuse Machine:

4. The Octo Lucky Block
The summer Lucky Block is the Octo Lucky Block, and it breaks the usual mold: instead of two Brainrot Gods it carries only one, with the rest being Secrets. A Premium Octo Lucky Block is also available for better odds. Here's the full pull table:

5. Phantom mutation (12x)
After two months of everyone chasing Cyber, the Summer Update drops the Phantom mutation. At 12x income it's now the strongest mutation in the game, edging out Cyber's 11x. Visually it gives a brainrot a transparent, shadowy body that flickers in and out with white-glowing highlights — easily one of the best-looking mutations yet. 6. Reworked Index
The Index page got a clean overhaul that makes tracking your collection far easier. The two standout additions are a search bar for jumping straight to a brainrot, and a dedicated Phantom mutation page.
7. Seasonal base skins are now tradable
Seasonal base skins were previously locked to whoever earned them. Update 53 lets players trade them, opening a whole new market for cosmetic collectors. One catch: a skin only becomes tradable after it leaves the game, so anything currently obtainable can't be traded yet. It also gives players who missed the Cyber base skin a second shot at it later.
8. New base skin — Red Octo
A new premium seasonal base, Red Octo, joins the lineup. Unlike the standard Summer Base earned through Index completion, Red Octo can be bought directly and is available in-game now.
9. New codes
Three limited-use codes dropped alongside the update during Admin Abuse: SUMMERUPD3, OCTOBLOCK555 and WSUMMERUPD1. All three had a capped number of redemptions and were gone within seconds. Keep an eye on Admin Abuse for future drops — and check our always-updated Codes page.
