Exist count is the total number of copies of a specific brainrot currently in circulation across all players. A brainrot with ~75 copies (like Headless Horseman) is astronomically more valuable than one with 131 million copies (Noobini Pizzanini) — regardless of income. It is the single most important number in Steal a Brainrot trading. Check live numbers on our Exist Counts page.
Why exist count matters more than income
Income tells you how much cash a brainrot prints per second — but cash is easy to farm, and everyone eventually has plenty. Scarcity is different: nobody can create more copies of a brainrot whose obtain method is gone. When the Craft Machine was removed, brainrots like Antonio (~1,500 copies) and Signore Carapace (~355) were frozen forever. That hard cap is what traders actually pay for. A useful mental model: income is salary, exist count is real estate. One renews, the other only gets scarcer as accounts go inactive.
How exist counts are tracked
The game does not show a public counter for every brainrot. Counts come from a mix of official reveals (SpyderSammy has confirmed several, like the ~75 Headless Horsemen and the fixed 25 Spyder Elephants), community index tracking, and per-mutation variant counts that surface during events. Because tracking is community-driven, numbers are approximations — that is why you will usually see them written as "~2,348" rather than exact figures. Some brainrots remain "Not Known" until enough data surfaces.
Reading exist counts like a trader
Rough bands to keep in mind: under 1,000 copies = elite tier, prices move in hundreds of Market Points; 1,000–10,000 = high value, actively hunted; 10,000–100,000 = mid market; above 1 million = commodity, valued mostly by income and mutation. Per-mutation counts matter even more: a Meowl has ~4,069 total copies, but only 1 Phantom Meowl exists — that single variant is worth more than hundreds of Defaults.

Spyder Elephant is fixed at 25 copies forever. Among tradeable brainrots, Headless Horseman (~75) and Arcadragon (~138) are the rarest.
